Sugared Nuts

Ingredients:

1 egg white

1 lb. pecan or walnut halves

1 T cold water

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Beat egg white slightly. Add water and beat until frothy, not stiff. Fold in nuts. Combine sugar, salt and cinnamon, add to nuts. Mix well. Spread in a buttered 9 x 13 pan. Bake 1 hour. Scoop with a spatula onto wax paper to cool.

The blueberries for this pie were picked at Martin Blueberries http://martinblueberries.com/ in Northern Ohio. The kids had a good time picking berries and I've never tasted blueberries this wonderful in my whole life. They were huge and very flavorful. I am looking really forward to going back to pick tons of berries (take lots of containers).
